Meet the Therapist
Socorro (they/them) works collaboratively with adolescents and young adults interested in identity exploration, relational growth, and gaining insight in a culturally responsive environment. Their approach to therapy places identity at the center and not the margin.
Leading with an intersectional-feminist, anti-oppressive, and LGBT-affirmative lens, Socorro strives to create a warm, open, empathic, and affirming therapeutic relationship with their clients; ensuring that clients feel fully seen, respected, and heard. They believes there is no “one-size-fits-all” in therapy and aim to tailor their work to each individual’s needs, helping clients work towards their growth and goals as defined by them.
When not in the office, Socorro enjoys reading, volunteering in the community, and singing loudly out of key. Socorro holds a Masters of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
